AI has been rapidly transformed the landscape but is it effective on an enterprise level?, Here's a deep dive on it.

Can AI perform on the enterprise level?

Between 2018 and 2024, AI in the workplace had been mostly an experiment. While there was the panic of AI replacing humans in jobs, and in some cases it did, companies eventually realised one can’t rely completely on the experiment. Most companies were not comfortable signing a deal for work completely done by AI. Human involvement was marked as necessary. But now, things are slowly changing. While human supervision remains a major factor, AI is slowly moving beyond its experimental phase and becoming reliable enough to play a more significant role at an enterprise scale.

So, what led to this? When did AI start showing signs that it was not just an experiment to be tested? When it started producing real-world results. AI has proven capable of handling tasks such as workflow automation, internal copilots, and decision support. Once that was adopted, companies found AI wasn’t just a novelty but a very useful tool that saves time and money. Leaders soon started measuring an AI model’s success beyond just accuracy. They started judging it based on its business impact and reliability. But once this started happening, the inevitable question popped up: Can it deliver on scale?

There are many points to prove that AI has arrived at the enterprise level. It is now used in core workflows across engineering, marketing, finance and HR, among others. Not just isolated pilots. It is being used to automate tasks such as document processing and data extraction. It has proved to be able to make better decisions through real-time dashboards and predictive analytics. With enterprises running AI on live systems, it has officially moved from the experimentation phase to the production phase.

What does this mean for the future? It means that it is time to embrace AI. No matter what type of role you work in the corporate industry, AI will become a core operating layer, and the quicker one accepts it, the better. The new age has arrived.
